In this film we are drawn into the lives of three men who go off into the mountains in search of gold.

The plot is simple......there is something more valuable than gold.

But the way it is presented to us is the real art.The scene around the campfire and the scene in the Indian village; these two scenes present the theme of the film.

It may be of interest to know that Chaucer used a similar plot in one of the CANTERBURY TALES.
